A mid IC who must clear a mortgage or a family budget should sit the Netflix loop before another OpenAI or Anthropic seat. Netflix prints a high base, a reachable top, and liquid paper. OpenAI prints the higher mark and a thinner base. If you can carry the optionality for two years and still sleep, take the lab interview.
